Our Company

David, owner and operator of Starry Treasures, Inc., is a native of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. He was raised in a family of artists who always encouraged him to express and expand his creativity and artistic abilities. His experience and fascination with stained glass art dates back to his earliest years as a toddler. Born into his family's glass studio, he has wonderful memories spending countless hours with his parents at the studio learning the art of stained glass. At a very young age, his parents recognized that he quickly developed a knack for working with glass and designing glass patterns. They often reminisced that David learned to cut glass with a glass cutter even before he was able to write his own name with a pencil. By the time he was 15 he had developed techniques and skills that exceeded most of the experienced professionals in the region. He enjoyed sharing his art glass making knowhow with others who were eager to learn through glass classes taught at his family's studio.

David loves his trade and intends on designing and constructing stained glass products for many years to come. He is proud of his family's hard work and dedication to the art of stained glass. He is devoted to perpetuating his family's handcrafted stained glass traditions by continuing to design unique glass products and directly overseeing the production by hired local skilled craftsman.

The pictures below were taken at a demonstration in Williamsburg, Virginia. I've been invited to do this for the last few years during their Grand illuminations celebration and it is a ton of fun.  It is an honor to talk with tons of visitors and demo and share my family history of making glass ornaments and lights. In the pic I was making a glass star ornament. I was soldering the first set of four triangles creating the main hanging square of the star. The next few steps build upon this square to create the 3-D 12 pointed star.

The pics below show the original glass cutting board that my Dad created about 40 years ago. We use boards like this one to cut the glass into the triangles used as the star's          points.

Each sheet of glass has a slight variation in pattern or color. The glass sheets are approximately 24"x 48" or 32"x42" depending on the manufacturer.

The above glass is our Clear Seedy used to make our ornaments and light fixtures.

Below, I was picking out glass for our yellow cathedral ornaments.

Below, our pink oqaque glass is a great color for breast cancer awareness month and also great for an ornament gift celebrating the birth of a baby Girl.

Customer Testimonial:

"We were very impressed with the quality of glass and workmanship of the ornaments. As a retailer, it is highly important that we buy products that are great quality but also sell.  Our customers love these stars and return to purchase more. This is a great thing for us! The price point is great and allows for a generous retail mark up. We are constantly hearing nice comments and positive feedback from our customers.
